Cleaning

In regards to Covid-19, when people were asked why they would continue to go camping in the midst of a pandemic, the most popular response was  “want to spend time outdoors after spending so much time at home”, followed by; “an affordable way to travel”, ”easier to practice social distancing”, and “to reconnect with family and friends”.  Idaho Overland Adventures can help you do just that.

Our commitment to the safety of our clients and community will always be our highest priority. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness including strict sanitizing procedures to protect the health and safety of all. We are committed to providing a safe work environment and services to our customers during this challenging time and will continue to monitor the situation, implementing additional safety measures as needed.

Vehicles, Trailers and Supplied Equipment:  Our procedures mandate a thorough vacuuming, general wipe down, and sanitizing with a disinfectant that meets leading health authority recommendations, with particular attention to more than 20-plus high-touch points.  We thoroughly clean and wipe down or spray of the vehicles’ interior with a recommended disinfectant.  This includes, but is not limited to – the vehicles’ keys, the dashboard, instrument panel, steering column, wheel, accessory panel, center console, cup holders, compartments, and seats, as well as the doors, door pockets, and the areas between the seats and the console and doorjambs. We thoroughly clean and wipe down or spray of the trailers with a recommended disinfectant.  This includes but is not limited to – the trailers’ keys, hitch, exterior cabinet door and bin handles, interior of cabinets and bins.  We thoroughly clean and wipe down or spray supplied equipment, including but not limited to: roof top tent, onboard field-kitchens, camping chairs, camping toilet, camping table, electronic devices, etc.  We exchange used items in vehicles/trailers with cleaned/sanitized replacements for every new customer rental.  Removed items will be laundered and washed separately and replaced/reused once this action is taken. These items include: Sleeping bags and pillows, cookware and used kitchen items, etc.

Storefront Implementation of recommended guidelines and social distancing during higher cases:  During peak times, employees will wear cloth face coverings, especially if they are unable to maintain social distancing of 6 ft. or greater.  We will provide alcohol-based hand rubs in multiple locations, routinely clean commonly touched surfaces, e.g. tables, counter tops, desks, computers, door handles, etc. per the CDC and EPA disinfection guidelines.   Posters or signage will be posted at the entrance of our location that encourages patrons to not enter the facility if they are feeling ill.  We will use signs or taped markings to designate distancing areas where customers might form a line and will limit the number of patrons allowed in our business to accommodate social distancing practices.  If needed, we will utilize a “by appointment only” scheduling system to reduce foot traffic.
